Watch: No To Homophobia.

Now it is a shame that these ads even have to be made, but in a first for Australia, a new ad campaign has been set up to target homophobia, transphobia and biphobia. The No To Homophobia campaign will be broadcast in Victoria with limited national coverage via Foxtel.

The ads were created with assistance from Collingwood Football Club, Victoria Police and Mac.Robertson Girls’ High School, and as a result of a partnership between the Also Foundation, Victorian Gay and Lesbian Right Lobby, TransGender Victoria and the Anti Violence Project Victoria with support from the Victorian Equal Opportunity and Human Rights Commission, Headspace and the Human Rights Law Centre.

The campaign was launched today in Victoria’s Parliament House, with a speech by Victorian hockey goalkeeper Gus Johnston who came out as gay last year, when he released a video sharing of his own experiences of homophobia in sport.
