Tim Burton talks ‘Beetlejuice 2′
Okay so these days some might consider Tim Burton a bit of a commercial sellout, but back in the day he was pretty damn amazing! Well anyways word is there might be a possible sequel to his hit, Beetlejuice. Yes guys a sequel!!! Even though the film is over a decade old, the original still has a huge cult following so it comes as no surprise that Hollywood is interested in making another one.
Recently Tim Burton was asked if he’d direct a sequel and here was his answer:
Yes. I love that character, and Michael Keaton is so great in it. I always think about how great and fun that character was, so I just said to Seth Grahame-Smith, ‘If you have some idea about it, go for it, and then I’ll look at it freshly.’ In the past, I tried some things, but that was way back when. He seemed really excited about it. Michael was so great in it. I’m sure he’d strangely tap right back into it.
I don’t know about you, but I’d be keen to see a sequel made, especially with today’s modern-day technology behind it. Who knows it might even be something that would bring back the classic Tim Burton that so many of us grew to love.
Now the question we’re all wondering, will Michael Keaton return to the role?
Only time will tell. I’ve got my fingers crossed that he says yes.

Burton is known for using recurring collaborators on his works; among them are Johnny Depp, who has become a close friend of Burton since their first film together; musician Danny Elfman, who has composed scores for all but five of the films Burton has directed and/or produced; and domestic partner Helena Bonham Carter.
