First Look: ‘The Paperboy’

Lionsgate has just released this photo of Zac Efron, Matthew McConaughey, and Nicole Kidman, three actors that in my opinion are desperately in need of a hit to regain a decent acting reputation. If spreading your legs Basic Instinct-style while looking like a cracked-up Kim Basinger is a sign of this, Nicole Kidman is going all out!

The poor girl is in need of a hit.  Her last few films flopped pretty badly, and the sad thing is, the girl can actually act! With the exception of BMX Bandits, that movie is just hilarious. Oh and poor Zac Efron. I’ve always said, for pretty actors to get  cred in Hollywood, they either have to get a makeover or have the crap beat of them onscreen. Just ask Hilary Swank! Then there’s Matthew McConaughey… no matter what he does, my friend’s grandma will always think he’s a cutey, but then again she’s blind as a bat.

Lionsgate also describes The Paperboy as “an explosive sexual thriller,”  Is it me or does the above picture make it look like a comedy?
