I haven’t watched Glee for quite sometime, I really should catch up on it. Well anyways, during the most recent episode Amber Riley performed I Will Always Love You (talk about timing). Although the song is originally by Dolly Parton, it was the late Whitney Houston who turned it into a worldwide hit, that for many is often remembered as her greatest song.
Amber Riley‘s performance of the song on Glee was pitch perfect in very single way and can really only be described as an unintended truly beautiful tribute to the late singer. Watch it below. Continued…
It is truly a sad day for many as they woke up this morning to hear the news that Whitney Houston has died. A representative for the Associated Press confirmed the news this morning that the singer had died at the Beverley Hilton Hotel.
This news comes on the day of music’s biggest event, the Grammy Awards. A showcase of artists where at the peak of her career she reigned, without a doubt her death will weigh heavy on many who attend the awards. Just the other day it was brought to Special K’s attention comments made by Chanel fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld about British singer Adele. When asked who his favorite female singer is, Lagerfeld responded that Adele is his favorite even tho she is “a little too fat”. Yes I think he’s a complete an utter douche too! Well, now Adele has responded of sorts. In an interview with People magazine about body image she expressed to the magazine that she is quite proud of how she looks because she represents the “majority of women”. In the wake of the backlash caused by Lagerfeld‘s “too fat” comment, he is now trying to attempt some damage control. Entry to ‘The Monster Pit’ is relegated to the fans who have arrived first, waited all night, + dressed to ‘Ball.’ Every night Haus of Gaga will choose fans from The Monster Pit to come back stage + meet me!
